Do you know how many pairs of shoes a woman looks into before she finally finds which one she needs most?
She’s wanted a nice and comfortable pair of shoes for sometime. Yet, she hasn’t got to buy them already. She has the money. But, instead of spending it right away on the first quickly spotted beautiful shoes she might have liked, she would just wander from one store to another, picking a cute model of a pair, trying them out on her feet, and realizing something:
“Hm, these are quite a model, but they don’t look good on my feet.” Then she tries to walk them on. One step, two, three steps. She feels a really annoying sensation on her squeezed toes inside the cute modeled shoes. “Ouch… you’re cute, but you’re killing me,” she said to the hi-heels.
She took them off and moved onto other pairs, other shelves, other stores. She could try out quite some pairs in one single store. She didn’t mind being madly stared by the shop keepers. She just slyly smiled at them, even asked them politely, innocently, about those shoes.
Next time, she dropped by to some stores with her friend. Perhaps she needed second opinions from her friend about the pair of shoes on her feet.
Uh oh! They were arguing. She thought her friend’s choices were too dull and old fashioned.
“Really? They look… not interesting, if I may not say ugly.”
Her friend made a face, every time.
“O yeah? Look at YOUR choice! Childish… I’d say. Don’t you think you’re too old for that colors?”
They both laughed. Then they moved onto other parts of the stores. Continued arguing, sometime mocked each other, yelled, smirked, scolded, and scoffed each other. Until…
“What about these ones? I don’t think they’re too colorful. White with just a little pink line on it. It’s a neutral color.”
Her friend took two minutes to answer her. Tilting her head while thinking and tried to objectively observed the simple designed pair. Finally, she nodded.
“Oh, well, I can be civil with you for these ones. They’re sweet. But you still have to try them out, and walk them. If they don’t hurt your feet or exhaust your legs or trip you, then go with your choice. You need a convenient and yet good looking pair of shoes, right? Pretty, AND functional.” She winks her eye to her best friend.
“You don’t think they’re too expensive?”
Scratching her chin, reconsidered her choice.
“What if I buy these now, and the next thing I walk into a store, and then I bump into the better pair, more beautiful and comfortable ones? Duh, won’t I be regretting these ones?”
Her friend rolls her eyes and sighs.
“You worry too much. You’re a worrier. Just enjoy and walk with your choice, alright. You can always buy the better ones later. But for now, you need these ones.”
Smiling, her friend tries the thin-pink-lined pair of the simple shoes out, and walks them around the store.
“I love these shoes, they fit me well.”
“I couldn’t agree more, they even beautifies your ugly feet, Sweetie.”
“Huh… you and your tongue! Come on, I need to buy a bag now.”
They both laugh, longer this time.
Ah, shoes… The significant outfit to help us to walk the life, with comfort and protection.
Do you know that shoes can really make your day?
They do!
